The SWIMMING EVENTS (Current Residents Only) begin with our youngest residents sliding on the slide, then the non-redcap events, followed by free style, back stroke, breast stroke, under-water breath swim and the diving competitions.
DIVING RULES
Here are the rules for the diving portion of the swim events this year. All judges will be given this to go by as they judge each dive. Hope this information helps everyone.
Scoring for Diving:
Leaving the board or platform is an attempt to dive.
Entry into the water by either feet or hands or any other part of the body with intent is a dive.
Degree of difficulty will gain higher points. (A dive from the platform will score higher than the board.)
Accuracy will gain more points. (A perfectly held pencil dive scores higher than a forward dive that is not accurate.)
